I’m off on a retreat with ten of my women friends. Step one: figure out who sleeps where. Joellen claimed the cosy, tiny loft bed and sat up there with a satisfied grin, looking about nine years old. I think she looks a bit like Marcie from Peanuts.
…so instead of watching, I drew the first thing I saw on the kitchen table.
All these faces were taken from this morning’s newspaper. Some are famous, some are local folks, one’s from an advertisement. My experiments with watercolor are feeling less strained. I’m pretty happy with this one.
I’ve been fasting, which has meant learning a lot about hunger. I’m too hungry, cranky and tired to elaborate further tonight.
