On my long runs, I see lots of interesting objects on the trail or side of the road, and I wonder about the stories behind them. I save a list of them in my head with the intention of drawing them when I get home, but I never do. I also contemplate writing a story that somehow incorporates and connects all the items on the list.
Today’s quickie drawing, from a run about four months ago: two squirrels scampering around a redwood tree on the Santa Rosa Creek trail, momentarily achieved a perfect Yin/Yang configuration.
Also sighted on that run: an abandoned LazyBoy chair, and a solitary high-heeled shoe.
(I’m not entirely happy with this drawing, but have taken to heart Leah‘s prompt giving permission to make BAD ART !)
I love this, I loved watching the squirrels and their adventures when I used to walk to work, they were always up to something!
